Use the PixVerse downloader API
This API resolves supported public PixVerse video links for source downloads and available conversions. It is the API of this independent downloader, not PixVerse's video-generation API. The same source restrictions apply to the website and API.
Resolve a link
POST /api/resolve
Content-Type: application/json
{ "url": "https://app.pixverse.ai/video/…" }The response contains a temporary session ID, title, source URL, preview route and an array of formats. Sessions expire after ten minutes.
Download a source
GET /api/download?id=SESSION_ID&format=originalSupports a single byte Range request. Use the same domain that created the session. Public GET endpoint: /api/v1/resolve?url=ENCODED_URL, limited to 60 requests per hour per IP.
Prepare a conversion
POST /api/convert
{ "id": "SESSION_ID", "format": "gif" }
GET /api/progress/JOB_IDThe progress endpoint emits server-sent events. A done event includes a temporary download URL. A 503 BUSY response means another conversion is active. Files must be under 200 MB and 10 minutes.
Check several links
POST /api/batch
{ "urls": ["PUBLIC_SHARE_URL"] }Up to ten links. Each result contains either a download session or an individual error. There is no API key and fair-use limits apply.
Treat every result as a short session
Resolve the share URL, read the returned formats and use the returned session identifier for that result. The original format streams the accessible source. A conversion starts a separate job whose progress reports a downloadable result when complete. Do not invent formats or reuse a session identifier on another domain.
Sessions and converted-download links expire after ten minutes. Store the original PixVerse share URL in your own workflow if you need to resolve it later. A download URL is not a permanent media-hosting address.
Design around the actual limits
- Public GET resolution is limited to 60 requests per hour per IP; the website resolve route allows 30 per ten minutes.
- A batch contains one to ten individual links and returns a result or error for each distinct link.
- Sources and combined source ZIPs are limited to 200 MB. Conversion media is limited to ten minutes.
- One conversion runs at a time. Wait after BUSY or RATE_LIMITED instead of starting parallel retries.
Handle a restricted source explicitly
UPSTREAM_RESTRICTED means PixVerse has restricted the guest request. It cannot be solved by starting a conversion. EXPIRED requires resolving again, while FORMAT_UNAVAILABLE calls for checking the formats returned for the current item. Surface the service message to the person requesting the file.
